II International Intercompany Regatta 2005
Saturday, April 16th. 2005
The II International Intercompany Regatta took place on a wonderful sunny “spring” day. Invited by Schutter Arg., coordinated by VAC Events, 39 boats representing several companies, took off from Olivos on a route with fixed marks.
The departure which was controlled by the Club Nautico Olivos, seemed slow due to lack of wind. After a few minutes, a slight north wind appeared, which inflated the up to then week spinnakers, causing a knot of several boats to which screams of “water” were followed. This was taking place, while on board the committee boat, the “Gringa”, where a mixture of Dutch, Brazilian, German and Argentine people were gathered were happily watching accordingly provided with drinks ! The first leg was at full spi and at a good spead, followed by the second leg towards the coastline to the third and last leg back to the departing line.
The first boat to arrive was the Bacarat (HONDA MARINE) and the resulting positions were the following:

The winning company was PAN AMERICAN ENERGY, followed by NIDERA S.A and TOTAL S.A.
On Tuesday, April 19 th ., during a cocktail offered to every crew member by Schutter Arg., the prize giving took place on the premises of the Club Nautico Olivos. The spirit was excellent with a group of people exchanging experiences, stories and jokes regarding the regatta.
Once again, Schutter Arg. seems to be the pioneer in this type of events, where the main aim is to offer their clients an original way of having fun and enjoy together.
